NOT YET (THOUGHTS FROM A SLOW READER)

you cant skip through NOT YET like you would an article of journalism where impressionism is stifled at the expense of rhetoric, aggressive lucidity, the principle of concision. you have to dream over what manuel marrero writes: there's more to it than meets the eye. NOT YET has parts simultaneously sloppily digressive and intensely focused, euphuistic and concise, historically accurate and unscientific. if your intuition can wrap around the syntax and appreciate the assonance, the resonance, the allusions and ironies that are naturally there, the understanding will benefit immeasurably. i mean go along for the ride.
